I’m Alexandria Butterfield - a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in my hometown of Vancouver, BC. I received my Masters in Counselling with a specialization in Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies.
In my first few years as a therapist, I worked with children, teens and adults in school based at outpatient treatment settings. Returning to Canada, I have had the privilege to work in private practice while also providing therapeutic services for Vancouver Coastal Health.
The feedback I have receive from clients is that they like working with me because of my genuine and empathetic nature. I come to sessions prepared with possible strategies and recommendations, but client's choose what we discuss and what areas of their life they want to work on. Above all else, I want you to feel respected and validated.
