Neurodiversity

Whether you or a loved one are diagnosed, waiting for a diagnosis, or suspect falling under the neurodiversity umbrella, counselling should be affirming of identity and help develop the insight and tools to make life easier. Oftentimes the overlap between neurodiversity and other mental health concerns (disordered eating, depression, and anxiety) looks more like a circle than a Venn diagram. Using curiosity, science-backed practices, creativity, and some humor, I work with a wide range of neurodiverse clients (see below). Neurodiversity includes (but is not limited to) ADHD, autism, AuDHD, learning disabilities and sensory processing issues.

I work with preteens, teenagers and adults. As a counsellor, I cannot provide a formal diagnosis. I can however recommend a psychologist who can give a formal assessment if that is desired.
